Join us for a conversation with Russian artist Vladimir Logutov and curator, Sammi Gale.

The conversation explores FIRELINE, a new exhibition at kollectiv. It presents a series of monochrome paintings, a new work by Vladimir Logutov.

The exhibition is part of a series JUHA curated by Sammi Gale which celebrates Eastern and Central European artists.

Vladimir Logutov

The artist Vladimir Logutov (b. 1980, Samara, Russia) lives and works in London, UK.

Winner of the Innovation Prize 2018, Artist of the Year. Winner of the Joseph Brodsky Prize 2018 in the visual arts. Fellow of the American Academy in Rome in 2019. Member of a number of residency programs.

Logutov's work has been shown at major international exhibitions including The Modernikon project at the 54th Venice Biennale; the Fourth Guangzhou Triennial, China; the 4th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art; the Lost in Translation project at the 55th Venice Biennale; at the 2nd Triennial of Contemporary Art at the Garage Museum, Moscow. The Way of Enthusiasts at the 13th Architectural Biennale in Venice.

The artist's works are both in private and museum collections, including collections of The State Tretyakov

Sammi Gale

Sammi Gale is a curator, poet and the editor of Plinth. His recent poetry pamphlets include Port Folio (Broken Sleep Books, 2025) and Torch Loose Panic (Datableed Editions, 2026). His journalism features in GQ, the i Paper, and Little White Lies. He lives in London.
